Fear Not

God’s WORD is such comfort for us especially tonight after the shootings at the school in Parkland, FLA. Our God cares about every family involved in this horrific event. The parents, the students, all the school staff, the policemen and women…and even the parents and friends of this young man.

At a time like this we are very sad …solemn in fact. And yet, I’m hearing Holy Spirit say, “Fear Not” and “Let not your heart be troubled.”

Tonight the news man said there are 18 shootings already this year. Then, he said there were 65 last year…and the lowest in several years was 2016 with 48. The first thing some will want if is stronger gun control..,or no guns…taken by force resulting in Marshall Law. More fear when good citizens become outlaws because they don’t give up their guns without a fight.

Still…I hear “Fear Not for I AM with you.

The news commentator even said that the numbers were a sign of the times.  Interesting that he should say such a thing…must be a Believer…because that would be found in Timothy regarding the Coming of our LORD!

So, today, we will begin with our 2nd wall of this temple of JOY:

Joshua 1: 9  Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”

John 14: 27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

Matthew 6: 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Isaiah 43: 1 But now thus says the LORD, he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine.

Psalm 27: 1 The LORD is my light and my salvation— whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life— of whom shall I be afraid?

Thank You LORD for the blessing of the absence of fear as we lean on You…as we Trust in You as our defender and our protector.

If you are afraid that you are not sure where you would be if you died, today is the day to make sure. Confess your sins and like laying a blanket on a lamb…you are laying your sins on JESUS the Lamb of God. He takes them away from you like the lamb walking away. Say JESUS You are LORD. No longer my way. You are the Way and I will live for You until the end of my days in Jesus’ Name. Amen and Amen.
